Number Showing Up as Invalid Again
-
Getting random calls, and if I recall, I get "invalid number"
This has simply happened a few times, only it is starting to annoy me. The first time information technology happened a long time agone when I got a call from a 1-800 number during the day (couldn't reply the telephone) They didn't leave a voice mail, then I called them back that afternoon. I then got a "Verizon Wireless, the number you have dialed is invalid" kind of message. So I only ignored it and that was the end of that.
At present I am getting calls from the phone numbers like "214-221-9430" (that is the one that called me today) Over again, they call when I tin't answer the phone, and don't leave a vocalism mail. Later on today I phone call the number dorsum and get an old fashioned recording: "Boo...da...beep..., nosotros're deplorable, the number you take dialed may crave an area code, then the 7 digit number." And than hangs upwardly.
What is upwards with all these random numbers calling me, and and so when I retrieve, I always get some blazon of recording saying its non a valid number??? Information technology must be valid if they called me!!!
Anyone else have this upshot? Any ideas?
Thank you!

Sounds like SPAM callers who fake caller ID'due south.
But some other day in paradise.....

Many business PBX systems mask caller id numbers. The number you see may non acquit any resemblance to the actual number the call is coming from. It may be the number of a torso line or other similar thing. Just because a number shows up on caller id does non make it a valid number for receiving calls.

Spam call well-nigh phony call waranties. When you lot become calls like this, blazon the number into google and you tin can usually detect out what it is.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I HAVE googled and researched the number, but merely found people asking the aforementioned thing. No answer.

It's a SPAM outcome for car warranty'southward... if y'all actually say y'all want to speak to a rep and ask for them to remove your number, they only hang up and phone call correct back 5 mins after.
I ended upwardly letting get of my number and changing it because it was and then bad, it was up to around 15-20 times a twenty-four hours at the end in that location.

Is your cellphone number on the "Do not Call" list? If non, put it on in that location.
-
That does admittedly nothing to stop these spammers. About all you tin can do is save the number to your contacts and set it to no band

If you say so....... All i know is I take gotten a spam call in over two years since putting all the cell telephone numbers under my plan on the "DO Non Phone call" list. No harm in doing information technology.

Obviously, that loophole is being investigated by the government. If you no longer get spam calls then think of information technology as skillful luck and only that.
